When you enter this vacation rental, you experience cozy lighting, rich and soft color tones of the interior, original log cabin-style post and beam architecture, panoramic wood framed windows with fantastic views, doors with large windows, skylights, warm ambiance of fireplace. At this secluded cabin rental one mile up a valley in Baring, you will see in the 325 square foot living room the beautiful, restored wood floors. The furniture and decor are selected to provide a fun, relaxing, inspiring, and private experience. Furniture is positioned to have cozy view of the outdoors while also enjoying the indoor.
There is electric heat in all rooms, in addition to the pellet stove and the wood burning fireplace. Firewood is provided. Cozy up the to the view of Mt. Baring and the creek while enjoying your beverage, conversation, a good book, music, or the sound of the creek. Watch for American Bald Eagles.

Bedroom
Inspiring and beautiful view from queen size bed of the cascading Index Creek, the old growth national forest and inspiring sky. See the skylight above the bed.
In the Harmony Lodge bedroom, there is a wonderful, scrolled design queen size bed with a new superb mattress. Bedding is provided.
It is soothing and restful to hear the sound of the Index Creek.

In the 325 square foot great room, there are 2 couches on separate sides of the room near floor-to-ceiling windows, that fold out to double size beds with deluxe 11-1/2 inch mattresses, and a chair that folds out to a child bed also with an 11-1/2 inch mattress
Kitchen
Have fun cooking in the modernized kitchen with old-fashion feeling -- with new wood flooring, maple countertop, and full-size refrigerator
Fully equipped kitchen includes salt/pepper, cooking oil, coffee, sugar packets, tin foil, paper towels, dish soap, and kitchen towels, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, cooking and eating utensils, professional knives, pots and pans, glass and metal pans, dishes, drinking glasses, coffee cups, wine glasses.
The antique propane cooking stove has stovetop, broiler, and oven. There are also written operating instructions. Have fun.
The kitchen dining table has a lovely window view of mountain and grassy yard.
Also, on the deck overlooking the Index Creek is a picnic table and a propane BBQ.
We also provide tin foil for you to cook the salmon or trout you catch.
Harmony Lodge is a dog pet friendly lodging. Your dog will be happy basking in your companionship and fireplace warmth. The floor-to-ceiling windows enable your dog to enjoy watching the water cascading over the rocks and the sun sparkling in the trees. [This picture is taken in 2009 before we implemented contactless checkin and before the 2024 wood floor restoration and kitchen cabinet renovations. Ben, our dog mascot, charmed many tenants in early 2000s :) ]
